 Rosangela Carbajo joined our group in January 2010, during her sophomore year in college.  Lucia Rusk earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Biology in 2014 from California State University Northridge. She joined our group as a sophomore in February 2011, and with the direction of Dr. Yadira Valles and Dr. Daniel Darvish she has learned how to perform various molecular tests. Lucia has been part of several validation projects and helps building up molecular tests. She has over 5 years of experience in molecular genetics and along with mentoring volunteers, has helped co-author several published research articles. Lucia is pursuing a career as a genetic counselor. Lucia Rusk earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Biology in 2014 from California State University Northridge. She joined our group as a sophomore in February 2011, and with the direction of Dr. Yadira Valles and Dr. Daniel Darvish she has learned how to perform various molecular tests.
